DECEMBER 2024
WEEK THREE

Preteen

Christmas is celebrating Jesus,
God's greatest gift

Bible Story

Jesus Is Born
Luke 2:1-7

What does Christmas mean to you?

MEMORY VERSE

"[Mary] is going to have a son. You must give him the name Jesus. That’s because he will save his people from their sins."

Matthew 1:21, NIrV

Engagement Questions

  • What makes you the most joyful when you think of Jesus?
  • How is joy different from happiness?
  • What does Christmas mean to you?

Prayer

“Dear God, thank You so much for Jesus! We are so thankful that You sent a Savior at just the right time and place for us. Please show us how to celebrate what really matters all week long. We love You, and we pray these things in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

ENGAGE IN EVERYDAY MOMENTS TOGETHER

Morning Time

As your kid starts their day, acknowledge an area where you’ve seen them working or trying to improve.

Drive Time

While on the go, ask your kid: “Tell me about a time you needed help with something you couldn’t do on your own.”

Meal Time

At a meal this week, have everyone at the table answer this question: “What does Christmas mean to you?”

Bed Time

Pray for each other: “God, You not only sent Jesus to show us how to live and love, but to be our Savior. Thank You for providing Jesus for us to be saved from our sins.”
