APRIL 2025
WEEK TWO

Preteen

Hope is believing that something good
can come out of something bad.

Bible Story

Palm Sunday
John 12:12-16

What are you hoping for?

MEMORY VERSE

"In this world you will have trouble. But be encouraged! I have won the battle over the world."

John 16:33b, NIrV

Engagement Questions

  • When has it been hard to have hope?
  • Who can you talk to when you feel hopeless?
  • What are you hoping for?

Prayer

“Dear God, thank you for loving me so much that You sent Jesus to rescue me. I am so grateful that we can have hope because of Jesus! Sometimes, it can be hard to see the big picture when things get tough. Please give me hope and help me to remember You are still working even when I don’t see it. We love You, and we pray these things in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

ENGAGE IN EVERYDAY MOMENTS TOGETHER

Morning Time

As your kid starts their day, tell them: “I love the person that you are.”

Drive Time

While on the go, ask your kid: “Did anything surprise you this week (good or bad)?”

Meal Time

At a meal this week, have everyone at the table answer this question: “What are you hoping for?”

Bed Time

Pray for each other: “Jesus, remind us that whatever happens, You are still working.”
