(Saul and Barnabus)

Romans 12:18
(Supporting: Acts 9:1-28)

What does it mean to live in peace?

MEMORY VERSE

As you deal with one another, you should think and act as Jesus did.

Philippians 2:5, NIrV

Engagement Questions

  • What does it mean to live in peace?
  • What makes it hard to live in peace with others?
  • How can you live in peace with people who are different from you?

Prayer

“Dear God, thank You for loving us and sending us Jesus! Help us to think and act like Him in everything we do. This week, help us to live in peace with one another. Help us to pause and ask for Your help when we’re tempted to respond with words that don’t bring peace. We’re so grateful for Your wisdom!! We love You, and we pray these things in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

ENGAGE IN EVERYDAY MOMENTS TOGETHER

Morning Time

As your kid starts their day, tell them about a time you saw them choosing peace and how much you respect and admire that.

Drive Time

While on the go, ask your kid: “Who would you describe as peaceful? What is it about them that makes them peaceful?”

Meal Time

At a meal this week, have everyone at the table answer this question: “What does it mean to live in peace?”

Bed Time

Pray for each other: “God, help us live in peace with everyone—especially those who are not peaceful towards us. Help us to be both wise and compassionate.”
