JULY 2025
WEEK ONE

Elementary

With Jesus we can help change the world.

Bible Story

Forgive One Another
(Jesus Forgives Peter)

Colossians 3:13 (Supporting: John 13:36-38; 21:1-19)

Forgive one another.

MEMORY VERSE

Our God is a God who strengthens and encourages you. May he give you the same attitude toward one another that Christ Jesus had.

Romans 15:5, NIrV

Engagement Questions

  • Jesus forgives! How does that make you feel, knowing he can forgive you for the wrong you have done?
  • How can you have a good attitude like Jesus to others?
  • Is there anyone you are still having a hard time loving? Do you need to forgive them?

Prayer

“Dear God, thank you for dying on the cross to save us from our sins. Thank you for forgiving us for any wrong we have done. Just as you forgive us, help us to forgive others. Give us the same attitude you have. We love You, and we pray these things in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

ENGAGE IN EVERYDAY MOMENTS TOGETHER

Morning Time

As your kid starts their day, if there are any parenting moments you feel like you need to apologize for, take this opportunity. (There’s no such thing as a perfect parent. We all fail at times.)

Drive Time

While on the go, ask your kid: “What do you think it means to forgive someone?”

Meal Time

At a meal this week, have everyone at the table answer this question: “Who is someone you forgave? Was it easy
or difficult? Was it once, or did you have to keep forgiving them when you remembered how they made you feel?”

Bed Time

Pray for each other: “God, thank You for all the ways You have forgiven us. You love us so much. Help us to remember that when we have a chance to forgive others. Help us to forgive other people like You forgive us.”
